Berthold Kusserow dedicates his new single to everyone hurt by the Corona crisis
Having performed his music in various bands since the late 1970s, including Construction and Sound Wizzards, both in the Frankfurt area, Kusserow took the last two years to further develop his current style and sound through collaboration with several artists and producers, including Dani Macchi from Rome, Etienne Pelosoff from Paris, and “Hubi” Hofmann from the greater Munich area.
His passion for performing and creating music began in the late 1970s when he performed in bands such as Construction and, most recently, Sound Wizzards, both based in the greater Frankfurt area. After two years of crafting his distinctive style and sound, Berthold continues to refine his musical vision by collaborating with talented artists and producers, including Dani Macchi from Rome, Etienne Pelosoff from Paris, and “Hubi” Hofmann from the greater Munich area.
On 2 October 2026, Berthold released a new single, “Feel the Rain,” through MusicHub, and a music video will be launched on the same day. The song is a soft/progressive rock song in A minor at 90 bpm, which to me, is exactly the frequency spectrum that just has me fawning. Somehow Berthold manages to produce that uplifting-of-the-soul’ effect even in minor keys.
“Feel the Rain” offers a powerful and energetic sound. The track’s message aligns with the inspiring music, sharing the pain, grief, anger, guilt, and shame associated with the Corona crisis while offering a message of hope. The “rain” in the song reflects the wish to heal the wounds and come together again.
“Feel the Rain” is dedicated to all victims of the Corona crisis: those who died from the virus, from untested vaccines, from wrongful treatment, or from isolation in retirement and nursing homes; those who suffered pain from losing loved ones or friends, from the illness, from the side effects of vaccines, from government-mandated measures, or from being shunned and isolated; the children who lost years of their childhood; and those who feel guilt, shame, or regret for what they said or did. “Feel the Rain” is Berthold’s attempt to help heal the wounds that still hurt and to make whole what was broken.
The cover artwork for the single “Feel the Rain” was created by Siofra Millem.
