London, UK — August 2026: Veteran electronic music artist DJ Matrix, the original artist behind the influential 1986 release “Feel My Bass,” continues his long-awaited return to music with his latest single, “Heat Check.”

Originally released independently while Matrix was serving in the U.S. Marines, “Feel My Bass” developed a dedicated international following and became closely associated with breakdance culture and competitions worldwide. His promising music career was subsequently interrupted by the Gulf War.

Nearly four decades later, Matrix returned to the spotlight following a collaboration with legendary electro artist Egyptian Lover on “Hypnotic,” released on 808 Day in August 2025. He later joined forces with Beat Junkies founder J.Rocc for “Feel My Bass (Reloaded),” released in March 2026.

With “Heat Check,” DJ Matrix continues to build momentum, combining his distinctive sound with renewed creative energy. He plans to release a new single each month through the end of 2026, culminating in a full-length album.
